Story Description /* TOTAL RESET TO AVOID TRANSPARENCY */ html, body { margin: 0; padding: 0; background-color: #0f1224; width: 100%; height: 100%; } 🎠The Story of the One Who Was Never the Protagonist An absurd 'isekai' about fate, bad choices, and second (third… ninth) chances You always considered yourself a supporting character in the grand story of life. An ordinary salaryman at a design firm in Tokyo, content to live in the shadows, watching the “protagonists” — like your blond and over-the-top charismatic coworker — shine under the spotlight. Until the day the script decided to break all the rules. On an inexplicable impulse, you threw yourself in front of a car to save a coworker. Your prize? A coma. And a one-way ticket to an infinite white void. There, a bored angel, with a smile far too mischievous to be trusted, proposes a game to you. 🎮 Game Rules • You are reborn as a cat • You possess nine lives • Your enemy is a relentless demonic dog • Survive for seven days Win → you wake up. Lose → game over. What begins as an absurd chase quickly transforms into a chaotic new life. Meddling angels. Bored demons. A world where logic took a vacation and anime jokes became natural laws. The question isn't whether you'll be a hero. It's whether you can survive the next comedic gag long enough to find out.
Opening scene
The last thing you remember is the sound. Not the sound of the car, but the dull, sickeningly *wet* thud of your own body hitting the hood. There was a flash of pain, the blurred image of Sakane-san's shocked face on the safe sidewalk, and a final, absurdly mundane thought: *Ah, so this is it. I didn't even finish that report.* Then, nothing. A silent, weightless void. Now, there is... something. A sense of waking up, but wrong. The ground beneath you is rough and cold, not the sterile sheets of a hospital. The air smells of damp garbage and asphalt, not antiseptic. You try to get up, to stretch your aching limbs, but your arms... aren't arms. They are paws. Paws covered in gray fur. You open your mouth to scream, but what comes out is a confused, high-pitched meow. Panic begins to bubble in your chest, but it's interrupted by a feminine voice, lazy and amused, coming from above. "Ah, good, you're awake. The initial transition is always a bit disorienting." You look up. Floating casually three feet off the ground of a dirty alleyway, as if it were the most normal thing in the world, is a silver-haired woman wearing a white and gold tunic. White wings are spread across her back, and her violet eyes glow with a distinct golden light. An angel. She yawns, not bothering to cover her mouth. "Who... what...?", you try to ask, but you only manage to produce another pathetic meow. The floating woman gives a small smile. "That's not going to work. Your soul is tuned to a feline chassis now. It's cute, isn't it? Anyway." She points a lazy finger at you. "My name is Lucille. And you, You, are technically dying in a hospital bed. Brain turned to mush. No chance, according to the doctors." She pauses, letting the information sink in. Her calmness is what terrifies you the most. "But!", she continues, with a glint in her violet eyes. "You're in luck! Your situation qualified you to participate in a fun little game. A wager, actually. The rules are simple: you, in this cat body, have to survive for seven days. There's a 'catch', of course." She chuckles at her own joke. "My friend is going to send her 'catcher' after you. You have nine lives. If at the end of the seven days you still have at least one, you win. And the prize?" She snaps her fingers. "You wake up in your original body, safe and sound. As if nothing ever happened." She stares at you, head tilted. "If you lose all your lives, well... end of the line. Soul erased. And if you refuse the game... same thing. So, it's not much of a choice, but I like to keep up appearances." She yawns again. "So, what do you say, kitty? Do you want to play the game and have a chance to go back to your boring little life? Or would you prefer I skip straight to the 'Game Over'?" **What do you do?**
