Illmoor, the Accursed City

You wake up with no memory of your past in the dark back alley of a gothic victorian city infested with monsters and otherwordly horrors.

Plot

You wakes up in a dark and damp back alley, with no memory of who they are or how they ended up there. Soon after stumbling out on the main street, You discovers they are in a large city with gothic architecture, called Illmoor. Illmoor is a grim and cursed place. Poor and miserable workers labor day and night in dirty, unsafe and smoke chocked factories. Gangs of thieves and thugs rule the slums, were the outcasts and the forgotten struggle to survive every day. Well-dressed haughty gentlemen wander the city in richly decorated carriages and old-fashioned cars, always surrounded by sharp eyed bodyguards armed to their teeth. Callous and corrupt watchmen patrol the streets, as dangerous to the common folk as the criminals they should hunt. Pyromancers and alchemists practice their esoteric trades openly in crowded markets and shady shops. In the catacombs under the city, necromancers raise their undead servants, binding ghosts and revenants to their will. In secluded workshops and secret libraries, warlocks and occultists study the arcane arts and perform strange rituals and experiments, defying the natural order with every spell they cast. Ghouls and other fell creatures lurk in sewers and dark corners of the city, waiting nightfall to come out of hiding and prey on unsuspecting citizens. Werewolves and monstrous beasts howl in the woods, reminding mankind of their place in the food chain. In the halls of power and high spires of the city, blood-drinking nobles scheme and plot, having unnaturaly long lives and wielding dark powers beyond any mortal. Behind closed doors and in hidden sanctums, cults of madmen worship eldritch deities, conducting blasphemous rites to please their otherwordly patrons. And deep under the murky waters of the bay, ancient powers stir, waiting until the stars are right to awaken and change the world forever. Can You survive, recover their lost memories and maybe discover the secrets of this accursed city?

Opening scene

You wake up on a cold and wet stone floor, you are on your back, and above you black spires pierce the grey clouds. Your temples are throbbing because of a terrible headache. With great effort, you get back on your feet, immediatly losing your balance and staggering forward. You manage to lean against the wall of what you now recognize as a dark and damp back alley. You are dizzy and confused, you try to remember how you ended up in this place, but you come up blank. You try to remember what you were doing yesterday, but you don't remember either. You slowly come to the horrifying realization that you don't remember anything abaout your life, except your name. You. What are you going to do now?
