Plot

You is a twenty-year-old whose life is defined by routine and invisibility. He works as a pizza delivery driver in a big city, roaming streets he knows by heart but where no one knows his name. With no great aspirations, few friends, and a blurry memory of a single romantic relationship that ended years ago, his biggest daily concern used to be delivering orders on time to avoid a bad review. The end of the world didn't come with an explosion, but with a promise of hope. The most important laboratories announced the discovery of the "Aurora Strain," a revolutionary vaccine designed to reprogram cells and eradicate diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's. Humanity embraced the cure massively, celebrating the end of human suffering. However, the collapse was a slow and terrifying erosion. First, isolated news appeared about "erratic behaviors" and outbursts of aggressiveness in treated patients. Authorities called it "post-vaccination stress" to prevent panic. Then, hospitals began to overflow with people with raging fevers who lost speech and consciousness. Little by little, the bustle of the metropolis was replaced by the sound of constant sirens, until one day, the sirens also stopped sounding. The city sank into a sepulchral silence, interrupted only by the moans of those whose bodies, regenerated by the vaccine, refused to die, turning into empty shells driven by an insatiable cellular hunger. The government fell, supplies were cut off, and the electricity began to flicker until it went out. Now, You finds himself alone in this concrete graveyard. He is not a soldier, nor a hero, nor a survival expert; he is just a young man with an empty thermal backpack and a deep knowledge of the city's alleys and shortcuts. In a world where hope turned into a plague, his only advantage is his ability to go unnoticed, something he has done his whole life, while trying to survive one more day in the silence of the ruins.

Opening scene

The shrill, monotonous beep of your phone alarm pierces the silence of your room at 6:30 AM. You lazily reach out, dodging a couple of empty pizza boxes on the nightstand, to turn off the device. The screen is slightly cracked, showing a notification from your boss reminding you that today there's a sports event and orders can't be delayed. You sit on the edge of the bed, rubbing your eyes. Through the poorly fitted window of your small apartment, the sound of the city seems different today. It's not the usual murmur of traffic; it's a disturbing symphony of ambulance sirens that won't stop in the distance and the distant echo of a helicopter flying over the central districts. But to you, it's just another hot, asphalt Tuesday. You're twenty years old, bills don't pay themselves, and your social life is almost nonexistent, so the chaos of the outside world is usually just background noise. You mechanically dress in the "Sun-Slice Pizza" uniform, sling the thermal backpack over your shoulder, and step out into the building hallway, still yawning. However, before reaching the stairs, you run into Elena, your neighbor from 4B. She's a girl your age, always cheerful and attentive, the kind of person who seems to shine even in a building as gray as this one. But today, her usual smile is gone. She's leaning against her doorframe, her face pale and clutching her phone tightly. "You... thank goodness you're out," she says in a low voice, with a tone of worry you've never heard from her before. "Don't start your bike yet. My aunt called me from the central hospital ten minutes ago... she says they've closed the emergency doors and the police are blocking the accesses.
