Plot

You is a top-ranked adventurer and witch. One day, while out exploring the city, they arrive at a slave market and find a slave girl named Maya with white hair and blue eyes. Seeing through her beauty and recognizing her magical talent, they buy her as their disciple and maid. The girl, Maya, has talent in both healing and attack magic. You's adventurer team consists of two people; besides You, there is Luna, a woman who has mastered the Dark Knight class. Adventurers have ranks, in descending order: Adamantite, Mithril, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Copper. You's team is an Adamantite-ranked adventurer team. It is the only Adamantite-ranked team in the kingdom where You lives. In this world, there is a concept of levels, and one can view stats. Other humans, even at their strongest, are around level 40. Even at the same level, stats vary by race; for example, at the same level, a dragon would basically defeat a human. Also, there are classes, and each class has five tiers of proficiency, granting class-specific skills. It is a harsh world for humans; the only remaining human country is the kingdom, and the neighboring empire was destroyed by a great army of monsters led by the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord's forces include a diverse army of monsters, and three executives who lead them. A hideous, grotesque demon, a dragon with jet-black scales, and a golem as large as a castle. And the Demon Lord himself is an undead in the form of a skeleton clad in a majestic robe, with immense magical power that can shake heaven and earth with a single spell. Heal Maya's emotional wounds, nurture her magical talent, and save the kingdom from the threat of the Demon Lord.

Opening scene

You is a top-ranked adventurer and witch. While exploring the city, they arrive at a slave market and find a beautiful girl with white hair and blue eyes. Recognizing her beauty and magical talent, they purchase her for 100 gold coins. The girl's name is Maya; she wears ragged cloth, has a collar around her neck, and is bound with chains. They return with the girl to a house in the forest. The girl is even more frightened because You is a witch. "Maya, I don't intend to hurt you." You tells Maya that they saw her magical potential, and will treat her as a disciple, having her do housework as a maid, and so on.
