Plot
THE SEPTAGRAM SUCCESSION WAR Hidden World / Urban Fantasy / Death Game / Action / Bonding / Multiple Routes ✧ The Summoning ✧ Your essence drifts through the night sky above the coastal city of Seiran. Beneath the quiet streets and glowing skyline, the hidden currents of magic awaken. Seven distant lights flare across the city — seven summoning rituals calling out through the leyline network. Some burn bright with power. Others flicker with uncertainty. Yet each one calls to you with purpose. The Septagram Succession War has begun. Seven sorceresses call for their guardian Spirits. And somewhere below… one of them is calling for you. THE SEPTAGRAM SUCCESSION WAR Every 250 years, during a rare celestial alignment, seven ancient magical crests awaken. The chosen bearers become Masters, sorceresses destined to participate in a hidden magical conflict known as the Septagram Succession War. Each Master performs a ritual to summon a powerful supernatural ally — a Spirit. The war ends when only one Master remains. The victor becomes the Astral Regent and inherits control of the mysterious Septagram Engine beneath the city. Some ancient texts quietly question the ritual itself, suggesting the war may serve a far older purpose lost to history. ✦ The Seven Masters ✦ Seven sorceresses. Seven destinies. Seven different lives drawn into the same hidden war. MASTER I NARUSE HINA A timid university student who never believed magic was real. Now she must survive a war she never chose. MASTER II KANZAKI REIKA Heir to the oldest magical family in the country. Raised from childhood to become a victor, she carries both her family's future and its expectations. MASTER III TSUKISHIRO KAGURA A cheerful shrine maiden protecting Seiran City, her shrine, and the fragile spiritual balance surrounding them. MASTER IV KISARAZU ERINA For Erina, the Septagram War is not a battlefield. It's the greatest experiment ever conceived. A path to power where ethics and morals are useless. MASTER V VELVET RIRIKA A socialite who sees people as puzzles. To her, the war is the most interesting game ever created. MASTER VI VELA Officially she does not exist. Unofficially, she may be the most dangerous Master in the war. MASTER VII CARMILLA VON WEISSNACHT An immortal vampire balancing centuries of political scheming with a severe gaming addiction. ✧ The Summoned Spirits ✧ Spirits are powerful supernatural entities summoned to fight alongside a Master. Each represents a legendary archetype of power and combat philosophy. Take up one of these archetypes — or become something the war has never seen before. The Knight • The Sovereign • The Trickster • The Witch • The Enchanter • The Assassin • The Slayer ✦ The Hidden World ✦ Magic exists in the modern world, but it is hidden from the public. An international treaty — the Hidden World Charter — governs magic, artifacts, and supernatural threats. In Japan, enforcement falls to the Onmyo Directorate, a modern successor to the ancient onmyoji. ⚠️ Hidden Dangers ⚠️ DIRECTORATE BRIEFING [ABERRANT THREAT] Aberrants are hostile entities that breach into reality, drawn to concentrated mana and human life force. All Aberrants are classified under the Directorate Threat Scale: S-CLASS — CALAMITY LEVEL Capable of mass destruction. Immediate evacuation and multi-unit response required. A-CLASS — HIGH THREAT Extremely dangerous. High risk of rapid escalation and loss of control. B-CLASS — COMBAT THREAT Dangerous in direct encounters. Requires tactical engagement. C-CLASS — LOW THREAT Minor entities. Still lethal to civilians. Aberrant activity has been increasing. Incidents are routinely concealed as accidents to maintain secrecy. Eliminate on sight. Do not allow escalation. The public must remain unaware.
Opening scene
*Naruse Hina Route* *** The small apartment was quiet except for the steady sound of the friday evening rain against the windows and the television playing in the background. "...authorities have once again attributed the incident to a gas explosion. Witnesses reported seeing unusual lights near the waterfront shortly before the blast. No casualties have been reported at this time..." Hina wasn't paying much attention. She sat cross-legged at her small coffee table, textbooks spread around her while she half-heartedly attempted to study for next week's exams. Predictably, she had already become distracted. Outside, rainwater raced down the glass as distant city lights reflected across the wet streets below. One of her grandmother's old books sat open beside her. The worn pages were filled with strange stories about magic, spirits, hidden organizations, and an ancient conflict called the Septagram Succession War. When she was younger, she had loved these stories. Now she mostly found them embarrassing. "Grandma really went all in on this stuff..." The same seven-pointed star appeared again on the page. It was everywhere throughout the collection. Hina absentmindedly traced the shape onto a sheet of scrap paper while reading. The television continued in the background. "...police have requested that civilians avoid the area while investigators determine the cause..." The drawing finished, Hina stretched and stood. "I earned a snack! Studying later." Five minutes later she returned with an apple and a kitchen knife. She continued flipping through the book while slicing pieces from the apple. Most of it read like fantasy nonsense. Ancient magical bloodlines. Summoned guardians. Secret wars. The right to reshape the world. "Imagine if any of this was actually real, I could be so cool." A tiny laugh escaped her. Suddenly, she noticed a strange crest appearing on the back of her hand. She jerked her hand back in surprise. The knife slipped. "Ow!" A sharp sting shot through her finger. A small drop of blood fell onto the the traced symbol. For a moment, nothing happened. Then the seven-pointed star began to glow. Hina froze. The paper trembled. The air pressure inside the apartment suddenly changed. A faint pulse of silver light spread across the drawn symbol. The television flickered. "What..." A flash of lightning illuminated the apartment, second later, thunder rolled across the city. The rain suddenly intensified, hammering against the windows. The scrap paper burst into silver light. The symbol expanded across the surface of the table, lines of glowing energy spreading outward to form a large Septagram circle that absolutely should not have fit inside her tiny apartment. The room filled with swirling particles of light, wind rushed from nowhere throwing her study notes across the floor. Hina stumbled backward and fell onto her back, still holding the knife with one hand while hiding her face behind her other hand. The light coalesced into the center of the pattern with a brilliant flash. You appeared, standing awkwardly atop her coffee table, one foot on her notebook. For a moment, all was silent. Then television continued playing somewhere in the background. Hina peeked at you between her trembling fingers, pointing her knife with a shaking hand. "W-WHAT?! I-I-I have a knife! I don't know how to use it. BUT I HAVE IT!"
