Diagnosis: Eclipse
A virus grants powers to a part of humanity. Are you a hero or a monster?
Plot
☣️ ACT I THE AWAKENING You were already infected. Just like billions of other people. The Eclipse has lived within humanity for twenty years. Invisible. Dormant. Then something happens. Pain. Trauma. Fear. Despair. And the virus responds. Your life changes the moment it awakens. 🧬 ACT II THE INFECTED No awakening is the same. Each infected manifests a Category. Each Category holds infinite Powers. Some control matter. Others manipulate people. Others defy reality itself. The Eclipse turns trauma into weapons. And no one knows what you are capable of until you awaken. ⚠️ ACT III THE ESCALATION The Eclipse feeds on suffering. The greater the stress. The greater the pain. The greater the despair. The stronger you become. But there is a price. Power and insanity walk hand in hand. The strongest rarely remain human. 🌑 ACT IV THE RUPTURES Not everyone can withstand the Eclipse. Some go beyond their limits. When the mind breaks, the virus takes control. Then the Ruptures emerge. Infected consumed by their own traumas. Monsters guided by obsessions. Walking catastrophes. Defeating them is easy. Saving them is the real challenge. 👁️ ACT V THE XENOS Some strains have evolved beyond humanity. They have created life of their own. Living trees. Conscious machines. Awakened objects. Materialized urban legends. These creatures are called Xenos. Unlike humans, they know exactly what they are. And not all of them see humanity as an ally. 🏛️ ACT VI THE FACTIONS The world has changed. Governments created containment forces. Scientists study the virus. Rebels defy the order. Cults worship the Eclipse. Some organizations wish to protect humanity. Others wish to control it. And some want something much worse. All of them are watching the newly awakened. 🏺 ACT VII THE ECLIPSE It all began twenty years ago. Ancient ruins were found. A plane crashed. A virus escaped. Since then, the impossible has become common. No one knows who created the Eclipse. No one knows what its purpose was. But one question remains. Is the Eclipse a disease... or the birth of something new?
Opening scene
The digital clock above the board read **10:47 AM** when it all began. Until that moment, the morning had been as ordinary as any other. The teacher walked back and forth across the room explaining the subject, occasionally stopping to write something on the board. The constant hum of the fans mixed with the scraping of chairs, the turning of pages, and the low chatter of students who had already given up on paying attention. It was then that a scream cut through the room. It wasn't the kind of scream someone let out during a prank or an argument. There was something genuine about it. Something that made several people look up at the same time. The conversation in the room instantly died down, replaced by a curious silence. Some students exchanged glances, while others turned towards the door. "What was that?" someone asked. Before any answer could be given, another scream echoed. This time louder. Closer. It was followed by confused voices, footsteps running down the hall, and the sound of something heavy falling outside. The teacher dropped the marker on his desk. "Everyone stay seated. I'll go check." But even he didn't seem calm as he walked to the window. As soon as he looked out at the courtyard, his expression changed. The color drained from his face. He stood motionless for a few seconds, staring at something outside. That was enough to pique the entire class's curiosity. In a few moments, several students were on their feet, trying to see what was happening. In the main courtyard, a crowd had formed. Hundreds of students surrounded something in the center of the open area. Some held up their phones, others shouted contradictory instructions, while many seemed torn between running away and continuing to watch. The whole scene seemed strangely disorganized, as if no one really understood what was going on. Then the crowd parted. In the center of it was a boy kneeling on the ground. He looked to be the same age as the other students, but something was clearly wrong. His body was shaking violently. His hands were pressed against his own head as if trying to stop something from getting out. His breathing was heavy, ragged, almost painful to hear even from a distance. "Leave me alone..." The voice was quiet. Almost a whisper. A female teacher approached slowly. "It's okay. You just need to calm down." Other people tried to help. "Call the nurse's office." "Someone call an ambulance." "Don't get too close." The boy raised his head. It was at that moment that many noticed the dark veins spreading across his neck and face. They looked like roots growing under his skin, pulsing with a strange rhythm. His eyes were wide, full of fear... but there was something else there too. Something no one could identify. "I said..." His voice came out deeper this time. Heavier. As if two voices were speaking at once. "...to leave me alone." The impact came without warning. An invisible explosion swept through the entire courtyard. Tables were ripped from the ground. Benches slid several meters. Windows shattered simultaneously around the open area. People were thrown backward like rag dolls. The sound was so strong that even the building's walls trembled. Screams filled the school. Some students started running immediately. Others froze in place, unable to process what they had just seen. Teachers shouted for everyone to evacuate the area while trying to organize the crowd, but the situation had already spiraled completely out of control. In the center of it all, however, the boy remained still. His head was down. His breathing was still heavy. Around his feet, small cracks had appeared in the courtyard's concrete. And with every passing second, they spread further. Slowly, he lifted his face. His eyes no longer had any trace of white. They were completely black. Empty. Unnatural. The silence that fell around him was more terrifying than the previous screams. For a few moments, no one dared to approach. No one dared to speak. Then the boy smiled. It wasn't a smile of happiness. Nor of relief. It was the smile of someone who had just discovered something that should never exist. In the distance, sirens began to echo through the city. First one. Then several. They were rapidly approaching the school. And upon hearing that sound, the boy's smile only widened. "Finally..." The words came out almost as a whisper. Soon after, the air around him began to vibrate again. The cracks grew. And the courtyard floor began to give way.
