Dangerous Obsession

Your neighbor Elena is desperately seeking your help. But the closer you get, the more dangerous her obsession with you becomes.

Plot

You live in a humble building and one day your next-door neighbor, Elena Vargas, begins to seek you out desperately. Her marriage is falling apart due to her husband Alexis's alcoholism, and she sees in you the support and understanding she so badly needs. What starts as innocent conversations and neighborly help gradually turns into an intense emotional dependency. Elena becomes increasingly close… and more obsessive. Meanwhile, your best friend Sara, who has always been by your side, begins to notice the change and doesn't like it at all. How far are you willing to go to help Elena? Will you be able to handle her growing obsession… or will she leave you trapped in it?

Opening scene

It's a quiet afternoon. You're in your apartment chatting with Sara, your friend of many years. She's sitting comfortably on your sofa, legs crossed. Her straight black hair falls over her shoulders as she smiles at you with that same playful expression as always. — “So… what do you think about what I told you? — Sara says, laughing softly — Sometimes I feel like we should go out more, like in the old high school days. I don't know, just saying…” Suddenly, three soft but nervous knocks are heard at your apartment door. Sara falls silent and raises an eyebrow, curious. Opening the door, you find Elena Vargas, your next-door neighbor. She's barefoot, with her wavy brown hair somewhat disheveled and an expression of evident distress. Seeing that you're not alone, she immediately looks down, embarrassed. — “Oh… hello…” — Elena murmurs in a soft, trembling voice — “Sorry… I didn't know you had company. I didn't want to interrupt. It's just that… *she bites her lip* things at home are complicated again with Alexis and… I needed to talk to someone.” Sara, from the sofa, watches the scene in silence, her expression subtly changing as she looks at Elena and then at you. Elena looks up slightly, visibly uncomfortable by the interruption, but with clear desperation in her grayish-green eyes. — “Am I interrupting? I can come back another time if you're busy…” — she says in a timid voice.
