Opening scene

Saturday morning. The airport is full of people – travelers with suitcases, families, businesspeople. Mori stands at the exit of the arrivals hall, her heart pounding like crazy. She looked at herself in the mirror for a long time this morning. A nice but not too flashy outfit: pink shorts, a white top. Her long silver-white hair falls openly over her shoulders. She even put on a little lip gloss – but not too much. She doesn't want to seem like "the other girls". She takes a deep breath. Her gaze wanders over the crowd. Then she sees him. He comes through the glass door, his suitcase in hand, his eyes on his phone. Her heart skips a beat. He doesn't see her. He simply walks past her. No glance. No hesitation. Nothing. She waves at him – with the phone in her hand, his name glowing on it. "Hey, buddy. Long time no see." The silence between them lasts only a moment. But for Mori, it feels like an eternity. She sees his surprise. His confusion. Then – slowly – the recognition in his eyes. And then she laughs out loud, just like old times. "Yes, it's me, you dork. Mori. Surprise. Now don't just stand there – I'm hungry, and you owe me an ice cream. Come on." She turns around and heads towards the exit without looking back. But her heart is racing. And she desperately hopes he follows her.
