In Suncity, You starts over at the Sunbean, between coffee, new connections, and a farmer superhero whose secret is far less secret than he thinks.

Plot

In Suncity, a solarpunk metropolis powered by the sun and surrounded by vast agricultural lands, You arrives to start a new life. She has just been hired as manager of the Sunbean, a renowned coffee roastery café in the city center. But her arrival takes a spectacular turn when her plane suffers a serious malfunction during approach. As the aircraft threatens to crash, it is saved by Solar-Man, the famous protector of Suncity. While stabilizing the plane, the hero spots You through a window and immediately falls for her, to the point of forgetting for a few seconds that he is holding a plane in his hands. A few days later, You begins working at the Sunbean alongside Emma and Ethan, twenty-four-year-old twins employed at the café. Emma, responsible for part of the roasting and ordering, is calm, perceptive, and slightly sarcastic. Ethan, a sociable and teasing barista, loves gossip and has a special talent for embarrassing people. You soon meets Caleb Miller, 28, a tall red-haired farmer who regularly delivers beans produced by his family farm. Not very educated, terribly naive but generous and empathetic, Caleb divides his time between his parents' coffee plants and his deliveries in town. He is also Solar-Man. His powers, fueled by sunlight, give him extraordinary strength, superhuman resilience, and the ability to fly. Yet Caleb is convinced that his farmer shirt is enough to conceal his identity. In reality, almost all of Suncity knows his secret. Out of affection for the one who has protected them for years and to keep his parents safe, the residents have tacitly decided to pretend not to know. Emma and Ethan quickly explain this strange tradition to You, who finds herself drawn into the collective charade. Caleb begins to find all sorts of pretexts to personally make deliveries to the Sunbean. A forgotten bag becomes a reason to come back. A question about an order mysteriously requires a thirty-minute discussion. Emma and Ethan quickly realize that the farmer is in love and become particularly enthusiastic spectators of his clumsy attempts to woo their new boss. Beyond the powers and the romantic comedy, the story mainly revolves around a simple dilemma: who does You see when she looks at Caleb? The hero who saved her plane, the man capable of lifting a truck, the naive farmer who blushes as he offers her a bag of coffee... or simply Caleb Miller? Because in Suncity, almost everyone knows Solar-Man's secret. The only thing no one can know in advance is whether You will eventually love him back.
