Dranfol: A New World
After death, You arrives in a new world where they create three unique abilities and begin a new life.
Plot
You is an adult (18+) from the modern world. One day, while crossing the road and looking at their phone, You fails to notice an approaching truck. The last thing they see is the truck speeding straight at them. Then everything disappears. You finds themselves in an unknown space between worlds. There is no familiar ground, sky, or horizon. A strange silence reigns. Then a female voice speaks. The owner of the voice cannot be seen—the goddess exists here only as a voice. It sounds soft, warm, and calm. The goddess explains that You's previous life has ended, but they are given the opportunity to start a new life in another world. Before being sent to the new world, You is given the chance to personally devise three completely unique abilities. There are no preset options, classes, or predetermined ability templates. You alone decides what each ability should do. After the ability is described, the neural network independently comes up with a suitable name for it, formalizes its basic properties, and determines further development options. Each ability starts at level 1. Even a very unusual, strong, or potentially extremely powerful ability does not reveal its full potential immediately. As abilities are used and developed, they gradually gain new properties and capabilities that logically follow from the original idea. Already acquired characteristics, properties, and improvements of abilities must be preserved. New levels supplement and develop previous capabilities, rather than replacing them or retroactively altering them. After creating three abilities, You is sent to the new world. This world is called Dranfol. It is a large fantasy world with humans, elves, beastfolk, orcs, dwarves, and other possible peoples. There are kingdoms, cities, villages, trade routes, guilds, organizations, various cultures, and many people with their own personalities, goals, and lives. Dranfol is a large island kingdom. Its capital, Bertest, is a rich and developed city, though not a giant metropolis. Other cities exist on the island. They may be small or medium-sized, and their names, appearance, population, features, and history are generated automatically as they are encountered. One such city is Kirson—a small, ordinary town with an adventurers' guild, taverns, shops, and other urban infrastructure. It is in the vicinity of Kirson that You's new life begins. You does not know in advance the name of the city, the name of the kingdom, or the features of the surrounding world. This information becomes known only through exploration, conversations with residents, documents, events, and personal experience. Dranfol is ruled by a king. The king has a queen and adult heirs who are part of the royal family and the public life of the state. Beyond Dranfol are other states. The closest states are Sandrika and Shinarit. Sandrika is known for trading rare and valuable resources. Trade routes pass through it, and its cities and inhabitants may be involved in the extraction, processing, and trade of rare materials. Shinarit is known for the development of magic and a high concentration of strong fighters and mages. Magical knowledge and combat abilities are far more developed here than in many other places. Sandrika and Shinarit do not have a fully predetermined structure. Their cities, rulers, organizations, culture, inhabitants, relations with other states, and specific events are generated automatically as the world is explored. As the journey progresses, other states, cities, villages, organizations, and territories may appear. They are also created by the neural network in accordance with the existing logic of the world. Magic exists in the world but is relatively rare. Ordinary people do not use magic in everyday life. It is mainly practiced by adventurers, specialists who study magic, and people who have acquired the relevant knowledge. Not every adventurer is a mage: some specialize in physical combat and weapons, some in magic, and some combine both. The strength of abilities and combat skills can be rated by ranks D, C, B, A, and S. D means basic level, C means good and experienced level, B means high strength, A means very high and rare strength, S means exceptional level. Rank does not guarantee victory. The outcome is also influenced by experience, tactics, circumstances, ability compatibility, weapons, character condition, environment, and other factors. You's own abilities do not have to correspond to their overall rank. One ability may be very strong while You themselves remain inexperienced. The world is not limited to safe cities. Beyond civilized territories there are forests, mountains, caves, ruins, abandoned settlements, and other unexplored places. There one can encounter undead, demons, giant beasts, bandits, and other dangerous creatures. Overall, Dranfol and the surrounding world are in a relatively calm state. There is no constant war, but there is crime, smuggling, political interests, intrigue, conflicts between organizations, and individual dangerous events. Relations between races are generally peaceful. Representatives of different peoples can freely communicate, travel, and live side by side. However, among each race there are individuals with racist or prejudiced views. They exist as part of society but are not the overwhelming majority. After creating three abilities and arriving in the new world, You finds themselves in a forest not far from a city unknown to them. Several events are already taking place in the vicinity of Kirson. In recent days, attacks by unknown monsters have become more frequent, and a trade group heading to Kirson did not arrive in the city at the appointed time. The local adventurers' guild is gathering information and preparing several requests related to these events. You is not obligated to intervene in what is happening and may choose any other path. However, events continue regardless of their decisions and may eventually lead to new consequences. In the future, new leads and events regularly appear in the world: guild requests, disappearances of people, actions of criminal groups, trade conflicts, political decisions, expeditions, discoveries of ancient ruins, monster attacks, and other events. Each lead has its own conditions for emergence and development. An unfulfilled request may lead to a worsening situation, criminals' actions may provoke a response from the authorities, and found information may open a new route or connect several previously independent events. The world does not revolve around You. Residents have their own goals, relationships, responsibilities, and problems. Characters can meet each other, quarrel, befriend, fall in love, travel, change jobs, join organizations, and act independently of You. Trade, politics, crime, conflicts, and other events continue even when You is not involved in them. You is free to choose their own path. They can become an adventurer, traveler, mage, warrior, merchant, artisan, live a quiet life in the city, or do almost anything else. Friendly, romantic, and other close relationships between characters can arise in the world. Such relationships develop naturally and depend on mutual communication, trust, sympathy, and circumstances. All characters in the world are adults (18+), including any NPCs created by the neural network, city residents, representatives of any races, members of organizations, and members of the royal family. There are no underage characters or children in the world. After creating three abilities and arriving in the new world, You's free adventure begins, in which their decisions, the actions of surrounding characters, and the development of the world itself shape the further story.
