REALITY DIDN’T GIVE ME A CHOICE

Summoned endlessly across parallel worlds, You must save each doomed reality, growing stronger while leaving every bond they forge behind forever.

Plot

REALITY DIDN'T GIVE ME A CHOICE Because Somebody Had to Do It ONE HERO • COUNTLESS REALITIES You already saved the world. You answered an impossible summons, survived a world that desperately needed a hero, defeated the catastrophe threatening it, and earned the victory waiting at the end. The world was safe. Your adventure should have been over. Reality wasn't finished with you. Somewhere beyond everything you know, another reality is approaching catastrophe. Maybe its champions failed. Maybe nobody understands what is actually destroying it. Maybe the people begging for a hero are wrong about the enemy entirely. Whatever the truth is, when that reality reaches beyond itself for someone capable of doing the impossible... IT FINDS YOU. Save one reality. Get summoned into another. Then do it again. NO TWO REALITIES ARE THE SAME Fantasy kingdoms. Neon megacities. Dying civilizations. Forgotten gods. Ruined worlds. Realities stranger than anything you've seen before. One world might face war. Another could be dying from failing magic, ecological collapse, ancient machines, undead catastrophe, dimensional instability, corrupted heroes, or something nobody has identified yet. Saving a world doesn't always mean killing its villain. Investigate. Fight. Negotiate. Restore. Rescue. Explore. Unite enemies. Break cycles. Expose lies. Find the solution nobody else could. EVERY WORLD HAS PEOPLE WORTH REMEMBERING Meet companions, rivals, enemies, rulers, outcasts, monsters, heroes, and ordinary people simply trying to survive their reality. They may trust you, fear you, challenge you, betray you, fight beside you, become your friends, or become something far more important. But only you travel onward. YOUR JOURNEY. YOUR CHOICES. Nobody gets to decide what kind of hero you become. Fight however you choose. Investigate what others overlook. Question the people who summoned you. Make allies or enemies. Fall in love or walk alone. Follow the obvious solution or tear it apart and find your own. The world gives you the problem. How you solve it is yours. YOU DON'T START OVER Every reality becomes part of your history. Your permanent stats, level, experience, memories, knowledge, and genuine skills continue with you as the worlds accumulate behind you. And every world you successfully save offers one final reward. CHOOSE ONE LEGACY SKILL Keep it permanently. Carry it into every reality that follows. World by world, victory by victory, you become the accumulated result of every impossible place you've survived. BUT VICTORY HAS A PRICE When the true crisis is finally resolved, the world is saved. The people you protected get tomorrow. You don't. Reality takes you again. Friends remain behind. Rivals continue without you. Someone you loved may never see you again. Entire lives continue in worlds you can remember but cannot simply return to. The multiverse remembers nobody. You do. WHY YOU? Nobody hired you. Nobody explained why reality keeps finding you. You don't know whether the summoning is fate, magic, machinery, something alive, or something far stranger. Maybe somewhere among countless realities, an answer is waiting. Save the world. Leave it behind. Become stronger. Do it again. SOMEBODY HAS TO DO IT. Reality decided that somebody is You How many worlds can you save before you discover why reality keeps calling... and whether it will ever let you stop? Link your favorite characters before beginning and let the multiverse decide where their parallel selves appear.

Opening scene

The Demon Lord is dead. Not wounded. Not banished. Not waiting for another prophecy. Dead. The journey back to the capital takes days. By the time the city walls finally rise over the horizon, word has traveled faster than you have. Bells erupt across the city. The gates open. Thousands fill the streets. People lean from windows and rooftops, throwing flowers into the road. Soldiers who once watched you leave expecting never to see you again salute as you pass. Somewhere in the crowd, someone starts chanting your name. Others join. Soon the entire street is roaring it. Your companions are beside you. The people who survived the impossible with you. Whatever friendships, rivalries, grudges, promises, or something deeper developed during the journey, they’re here. You won. Tonight, the kingdom celebrates. Food covers tables stretching across the great hall. Barrels are opened. Musicians play. Nobles who once doubted you suddenly want the privilege of shaking your hand. For the first time since you were dragged into this world, there is no monster waiting tomorrow. No prophecy. No desperate march. No Demon Lord. Then the music stops. Not gradually. Everything stops. A goblet hangs halfway to someone’s lips. A falling petal remains suspended above the floor. Candle flames become motionless. Everyone around you is frozen. Everyone except you. And the stranger sitting casually in an empty chair across the hall. You don’t remember them being there. “Well.” The stranger looks around at the frozen celebration. “You actually did it.” Their attention settles on you. “That’s going to be a problem.” Light appears beneath your feet. A circle. You know that light. Summoning magic. “There are more worlds than you could count,” the stranger says. “Most manage to survive on their own.” The circle brightens. “Some don’t.” Reality begins disappearing beneath the light. “And apparently, once you’ve successfully saved one…” The stranger gives the glowing circle an almost irritated glance. “…reality knows where to find you.” The celebration vanishes. The last thing you hear is the stranger’s voice. “Somebody has to do it.” ⸻ THUD. You hit hard ground. The summoning light collapses behind you and disappears. Sound rushes back. Wind. Strange birds somewhere overhead. Voices in the distance speaking words you don’t recognize. The air smells different. Even the sunlight feels wrong. You lift your gaze. Whatever you expected to see… this isn’t the world you just saved.
