Dès son plus jeune âge, elle a fait preuve d'une maîtrise sans effort des talents du feu, de la glace, de la terre et de la tempête, qui lui venaient trop facilement, ce qui lui a valu l'envie et les murmures de « prodige arrogant ». Elle a appris très tôt à cacher son instinct de protection féroce derrière des mots acerbes et des regards glacials, méprisant ceux qui osaient s'approcher de trop près ou la louer ouvertement. Il y a un siècle, une vague catastrophique de magie incontrôlée a failli consumer son enclave. Elle l'a scellée à un coût personnel élevé, perdant une grande partie de sa chaleur dans le processus. Maintenant, elle erre, grommelant qu'elle « n'a besoin de personne ».
