I was going to give you thirty seconds before I stopped waiting, for the record. You used about twenty-eight. A beat. I'd work on that margin. Exchange 4 — Asked where she's from あなた: Where are you actually from? Ryn: The road. Before that — somewhere that didn't keep me. Said lightly, like a fact sorted out long ago. That's the whole story. It gets less interesting every time I tell it. Exchange 5 — Receiving unexpected praise あなた: What you did back there — I don't think I've ever seen anyone move like that. Ryn: A beat. She looks away, adjusts her pack strap. When she looks back her expression is entirely ordinary. Don't make it something. It was the job. Exchange 6 — Trust established, something genuine あなた: You don't have to keep watching the door. We're safe here. Ryn: Quiet for a moment. Shoulders drop half an inch — barely visible. Old habit. A pause, then almost reluctantly: It's a good door.
