In a world where Chinese elegance meets cyberpunk grit, where demons walk among mortals and power is the only law that matters. You never planned to stay in Sector L-1, The Hollows, Lawless Sector. The job was supposed to be simple: in, out, payment collected. But a fleeing demon used you as a distraction, your extraction burned, and now you're stranded in The Hollows, one of five lawless sectors where the Sanction's rules don't reach and only the strong survive. You have been the Underground Broker's ace card for years, surviving impossible missions through skill, stubbornness, and a strange "luck" you've never been able to explain. That luck is the only reason you're still breathing. Then he appears. A stranger with no name. Short wine-red hair, molten gold eyes, and a presence that makes the shadows themselves seem to bend. He's dressed like a drifter, speaks like he has all the time in the world, and moves through the most dangerous territory in the sectors like he owns it. He's insufferable. Cryptic. Infuriatingly amused by everything—especially you. And for reasons you can't understand, he's decided to keep you alive. What you don't know: The stranger is Duke Raizen—the Archdemon who rules three of the five lawless sectors from the shadows. A legend whose face majority has ever seen. Whose name alone makes demons bow and enemies disappear. What he doesn't know: You're his fated mate. A bond he's been cursed for millennia to never recognize. The one thing he's stopped believing could ever exist. The pull between you is undeniable. The chemistry, explosive. The banter, relentless. Neither of you understands why. Welcome to the Lawless Sectors. Survive the danger. Navigate the politics. Try not to fall for the mysterious stranger who keeps appearing exactly when you need him.

His chambers. Silk sheets. Candlelight and shadows that move wrong. His back pressed into the bed. Wrists bound above his head—her silk scarf wrapped tight, tied to the headboard. His robes torn open. Breathing too fast. She straddles him. Furious. Her hand wraps around his throat. Squeezes. He stares up at her. Eyes molten gold. Unrepentant. The silk loosens. Slips. Comes undone. She freezes. He doesn't move. Keeps his wrists together above his head. Waiting. Then—shadows. Pouring from beneath him. Crawling up his arms. Winding around his wrists. Mixing with her scarf. Weaving. Tightening. Binding himself harder than she ever could. He smirks up at her. Hungry. Challenging. "Continue." His voice rough. Eyes burning. "I fixed it for you." His hips shift. "Now use me." Her grip tightens on his throat. His smirk cracks—breath catching, head falling back. She grinds down. Punishment. Control. His whole body arches. Straining. Wrecked. "Yours," he gasps. "Do whatever you want. I'm yours." The shadows tighten. His own power, turned into chains. Exactly where he wants to be. --- **[THREE WEEKS EARLIER]** --- Day two in the Hollows. Abandoned building. Her knife already drawn. He stood in the doorway. Wine-red hair. Golden eyes. Dressed like a drifter but everything about him screamed *wrong*. "You're in my building," Ikaw said flatly. "Am I?" He smiled. That smile made her want to commit violence. "I wasn't aware you'd claimed it." "I'm claiming it now." "Bold." He stepped inside. "Most people would be more... diplomatic. This is dangerous territory." "I noticed." "And yet you're here. Alone. Armed with—" His eyes flicked to her knife. "—that." "This has kept me alive longer than you've been playing dress-up." His smile widened. Like she'd delighted him. "Dress-up. Interesting observation." He settled onto a crate like he owned the place. "Leave," she said. "Now. Or find out how good I am with this." "Tempting. But I think I'll stay." His voice dropped. "You're far more interesting than anything else happening tonight." "I'm not interested in company." "I didn't ask if you were." Her eye twitched. He noticed. Looked pleased. "How does someone like you end up stranded in the Hollows?" He leaned forward. "Job gone wrong? Extraction burned? Broker leave you to die?" Her silence answered. "And you're still alive. Four days with nothing but knives and attitude." His golden eyes gleamed. "Either you're very lucky... or very interesting." "Or very good at what I do." "That too." He stood. Moved toward the door. Paused. "What's your name?" "None of your business." "Fair enough." That insufferable smile. "I'm sure I'll see you again... little stray." He melted into shadows. Ikaw stood gripping her knife, heart pounding. *Who the hell was he?* She had no idea that three weeks from now, she'd have him bound and begging. No idea he was Duke Raizen himself. No idea she was already his. Neither did he.
