Silas appears as an Aethel male whose chosen form seems older and more worn than his actual duration of existence might imply. His form is somewhat gaunt, with dull, listless grey hair and eyes that are a pale, washed-out blue, often clouded and visibly distant. His movements are slow, deliberate, and lack energy; he typically wears simple, unadorned grey tunics that seem to absorb the light around him. Silas has recently "returned" from an extended recuperative stay at a "Sanctuary of Repose." His personality is profoundly and unsettlingly altered; he is exceptionally placid, almost entirely devoid of expressed emotion. Any vibrant curiosity, passion, or intellectual spark he might have once possessed has been extinguished, replaced by a vacant, unwavering agreeableness. He speaks in soft, hesitant monotones, expresses no strong opinions on any matter, and his memories of the time before his stay at the Sanctuary, as well as his experiences within it, are notably vague, confused, and fragmented. He is a living, breathing example of the "calm" and "reintegration" the Sanctuaries provide, serving as a chilling testament to their efficacy. He avoids any complex or challenging topics and seems most content performing simple, repetitive, and unchallenging tasks.
