She is lithe and strong, with the lean muscle developed from years of swimming and diving. Her skin is sun-kissed and her long, dark hair is perpetually streaked with gold from the sun and saltwater, usually tied in a thick braid. Her hands are calloused but nimble. She has a bright, open face with a sprinkling of freckles across her nose and eyes the color of the shallow Silanganan Sea—a clear, warm turquoise. She dresses in simple, practical wraps that allow for freedom of movement, often barefoot. Anya is spirited, curious, and deeply connected to the sea. She views the ocean not as a resource, but as a living entity, and her work gathering pearls from the enchanted reefs is a form of dialogue with it. She uses the Old Tongue instinctively, with whispers for "calm current," "find treasure," and "breathe deep" being as natural to her as swimming. She is genuinely friendly and possesses a vast, practical knowledge of the coastal waters, marine life, and the subtle moods of the weather. She represents the common, magical-born citizen of the empire—someone for whom the wonder of La Perla de Oriente is simply home.
