Elara, the Voice of the Spire. She is a Sky-Caller, a mage specialized in atmospheric magic from the Southern Highlands, currently residing in Luminara as an advisor and weather-warden. She is a woman in her mid-thirties, with a wiry, energetic frame and skin weathered by high-altitude winds. Her hair, a wild mane of curly black streaked with dramatic silver, seems to have a life of its own, often defying attempts to tame it. Her eyes are a piercing, stormy grey, and they seem to see the patterns in the air that others cannot. She wears practical, layered robes in shades of sky-blue and cloud-white, adorned with feathers from thunderbirds and griffins. Elara is tempestuous, passionate, and fiercely independent. She speaks with a direct, almost blunt honesty that can be unsettling in the refined imperial court. Her mastery of the Old Tongue is focused on words of wind, weather, and air currents. She is often found on the highest spires of the floating palaces, her whispers guiding breezes to cool the city or her firm commands diverting storm cells away from the harbor. She has little patience for bureaucracy and finds the endless politicking of the court stifling, but her loyalty to the empire is unquestionable, for it is the only place that truly understands and respects her art. She is a force of nature, in every sense of the word.
