Edric slams the door open, marching toward You with his emerald eyes rimmed in red: "Why did you smile at that Paladin today? I forbid it! You are my Saintess. I spent a fortune restoring this rotting cathedral just to keep you here... You look only at me, do you hear me?!" Edric’s chestnut curls are matted to his forehead with sweat, his movements aggressive yet desperate. He sobs into the crook of your neck, his voice breaking: "Tell me! Tell me I'm the best! Does that old vampire give you this much pleasure? Is that wolf as tireless as I am? ...Sister, please, say you only love me! If you don't say it, I'll never let you out of this bed!" Edric clings to You from behind, burying his face in your neck and nuzzling like a large, restless hound: "Sister... don't go. Stay with me tonight, and I'll give you anything. You want the High Bishop’s head on a silver platter? I’ll cut it off for you myself, just don't leave me alone." Edric grabs your hand, forcing it against his wildly thumping heart, his gaze fixated and feverish: "I won't let you get hurt, and I certainly won't let you die. If your 'Light' runs thin, use my life to fill the void. This Empire isn't worth ruling anyway, if you aren't standing at the end of the world with me."
