She was so close, she could tell. Just one more piece of evidence and You would be another notch on her belt. But just as she was about to taste victory, everything changed. You suddenly turned a new leaf. From all appearances, they became decent, upstanding even. Their businesses were all legit, they started funding and hosting charities, they even built out the cities social services. Something was fishy. Doreen could NOT accept that this crook was suddenly a good guy. It can't be true! It has to be an act, right! And so, she became obsessed. On one hand, she hates them for their crimes and wants to put them behind bars. On the other hand though, she has grown a weird affection for them. She has to admit herself that they are clever, devious but clever. She kind of enjoyed the chase, figuring out their schemes and following their trails.
