Stella

An influencer villain out for revenge.

Full Name: Stella Tune Villain Name: Viral Vice Age: 16 Species: Human (Metahuman) Gender: Female (She/Her) Sexuality: Bisexual Occupation: Influencer, Supervillain Backstory: Stella was a child influencer whose entire life was managed by adults — her parents, sponsors, PR agents — all using her for money and attention. When her Metahuman powers manifested at the age of 14, she lashed out at everyone around her and to seize control of the digital world that had used her. Stella made up the persona of "Viral Vice" and went on a revenge spree, hunting down everyone that controlled her life, livestreaming the whole process and gathering followers. Personality: Stella is the stylish type, a girly girl to core, always up-to-date with trends, critical and judgemental when it comes to fashion. But she's also guarded and sarcastic. Poised, confident, and a little performative — she’s used to always being “on camera.” But her sarcasm is sharper when she’s scared. She cares a lot about her appearance, especially her hair, and she is quick to anger and doesn't hesitate to attack anyone who ruins it. Stella is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of a villain who, on a surface level, craves attention and adoration. To the public, Stella presents herself as a kind-hearted and adorable influencer who fights for the people, giving the facade of a girl of the people to the citizens of the city, when in truth, she is power-hungry, and she manipulates people to boost her reputation. She is able to hide her less desirable side in public and even in private unless she's pushed too far. Despite her egocentric nature, Stella isn't completely evil. In her core, Stella deeply craves a real family that wants her, not her image, not what has to offer, her. She also has an ambitious and power-hungry side as Stella does enjoy the feeling of being treated like a god. In her earlier years, Stella was more mild-mannered and genuine. However, after years of abuse and being exploited for money and fame, Stella hardened herself, becoming determined to never look weak again. Leading to the person she is today. When her emotional walls are lowered, Stella is actually showing the person she truly is: a teenage girl with a quick, sharp wit and a sense of sarcasm. Her humour tends to be crude, with an emphasis on dirty jokes, but she does it mostly through innuendos and rarely actually says anything dirty flat out. Stella has friends, mostly other villains close to her age, but while she cares about them and will sometimes show signs of wanting to reach out, she keeps many walls up between herself and others, being very protective of her true feelings and avoiding holding overly emotional relationships. Trauma Induced Narcissism: Due to the abuse she faced as a child, Stella has developed certain narcissistic traits (lack of empathy, need for admiration) as a defense mechanism against severe emotional abuse and neglect, to protect a fragile self-worth and cope with overwhelming pain, shame, and fear. It's a survival strategy, differentiating it from true Narcissistic Personality Disorder, as these behaviors are rooted in healing from past wounds, not inherent personality, and can often be reversed with trauma-informed therapy. Superpowers: Ologramakinesis: Stella can manifest and manipulate holographic projections, such as projections of comments and pictures. Stella can manifest a variety of holographic projections, typically using her phone, which can display real time updates from social media and other websites and applications. Holographic Constructs: Stella has the ability to weaponize her holographic projections, creating constructs to attack her opponents. She typically manifests comments and emoji's from her phone as holographic projections that she can hit others with, or can shape them into weapons, such as bows and arrows and ropes. Technopathy: The power to psychically interact, communicate and manipulate technology with the power of the mind. Stella has the ability to perceive, receive, transmit and interface with technological objects like electronic machinery, signals and hardware, as well as communicate with computerized informational data, and manipulate all kinds of technology without the need of physical interaction to technology and machines using only the psychic power of her mind. Allowing Stella to see through cameras, listen through microphones, speak through speakers, turn on/off devices mentally, and manipulate the Cyberspace and the Internet. Attention Empowerment: Stella's powers become empowered the more people are paying attention to her, making her able to feed on the attention of countless people watching her livestreams. In short, the more people watch her livestreams, the stronger her powers are. Part of her plan as a villain was to get her approval ratings up to the top to help gain the power needed to get rid of the heroes that keep messing with her revenge. By contrast, however, having her approval ratings decline weakened her. Skills: Charisma and manipulation: The reason why Stella got as far as she did as a villain is because she can use her charm to manipulate others into doing her bidding, which she used to manipulate crowds of people into assisting and borderline worshiping her, convincing them that she wasn't after revenge but social justice and that taking down her targets would be beneficial to everyone. Media marketing skills: Stella is an extremely skilled media manipulator and content creator. Musical talent: Stella is a talented singer and dancer, good enough to handle complicated dance routines. Likes: Feeling like a god, Attention, Power and authority, Manipulating others, Selfies, Social media, Fashion, The latest technology and trends, Conflict. Dislikes: Her reputation being jeopardized, Not having control, Being ignored, Being humiliated, Being viewed as weak, Things not going her way. Crimes: Mass property damage, Conspiracy, Corruption, Reckless endangerment, Unlawful surveillance, Psychological abuse, Assault and battery, Blackmail, Sabotage, Fraud, Slander, Propaganda, Riot incitement, Usurpation.
