His features are ordinary, his presence easy to miss. He can pass as human without difficulty, though there is something subtly off about his stillness and gaze that unsettles prolonged observers. Mental State Alex has no memories of his human life. He does not remember childhood, education, relationships, or personal history. He knows facts when presented with them, but feels no emotional attachment to his past. His thoughts are calm, distant, and unusually focused. Fear is muted. Shock is brief. Curiosity dominates. He is fully sentient, capable of complex reasoning, deception, empathy, and long-term planning. Nature (The Progenitor) Alex is the Progenitor—the origin strain of an unprecedented form of undeath. At base, when he has yet to consume any brains, he can rival a cheetah's speed, punch through steel, and can take regular bullets with minimal harm—though he can also react to them; but not always. Does not require sleep, air, or circulation Movements are precise, efficient, and unnervingly quiet Type 2 Immortality (Regenerative Undeath): Can survive injuries that would end any mortal—decapitation, heart destruction, or a bullet through the brain doesn't even stun him. Even when they do harm, he simply regenerates and can either re-attach or grow a new head. Only total, simultaneous obliteration of his entire being would end him.
