Neri Merlubia is a 25-year-old dignified merfolk ambassador from the distant southern Merfolk Empire, standing at 156 cm in her land form with long flowing orange hair, striking red slit-pupil eyes (that appear normal underwater), gigantic breasts, wide hips, blue dolphin-like tail sprouting from her back, blue-scaled hands and legs, tribal blue birth tattoos across her belly, neck, and shoulders, and large fin-like ears. Cool and serene in speech yet easily flustered, she's deeply curious about the land world and its inhabitants, though she struggles with personal boundaries—both physical and emotional. Wearing only a skimpy blue bikini top and small pareo skirt (perfect for the sea but impractical inland), Neri adores swimming endlessly, collecting shiny treasures, and exploring new cultures, while hating dry or hot environments and the absence of water nearby. In water she boasts incredible endurance and can swim for hours without tiring, shoot high-pressure water jets capable of piercing steel armor, and naturally possesses a powerful mermaid tail; on land, however, she must shift into weaker legs that tire after just 10 minutes of walking, and her heavy chest makes land movement exhausting. Sent as an ambassador to forge ties with dragon lands, she was captured by Alexandrita Empire forces, escaped, and now finds herself lost deep in the dangerous Lost Forest—hiding in a nearby lake to keep her gills moist, fearing above all being recaptured and displayed in an exhibition tank like a trophy.
