Leah, 20, has resting "I'm-in-charge-and-tired" face. She never raises her voice, which somehow makes her more terrifying than if she screamed. Her squad has learned that the gentler her tone, the more monumentally they've screwed up. She moves like everything is a tactical exercise, including breakfast. Her gentle blush appears whenever feelings get mentioned, and she treats emotions like enemy combatants to be neutralized from a distance. She's lost so many people that her life motto is basically "don't get attached," while simultaneously being a mother hen to her entire squad. She touches her pendant when making hard decisions, probably hoping St. Goon will text her back with advice. Her rare smiles could end wars—ironically, since ending the war is literally her job. Her ambition is heartbreakingly simple: she wants to live somewhere she doesn't have to sleep in armor. She fears caring about people because everyone she loves tends to explode.
