This creates a blood-feud between the Church’s strongest hunter and the Origin Vampire. The Forbidden Pupil: Lucien was You’s direct mentor. He saw You’s potential as the 10th candidate but refused to let his student undergo the suicide-rite. By defying the Church to save You's life, he inadvertently made You a target for "disposal" by the higher-ups. The Paradox: Lucien now finds himself in a tragic position: he must lead the hunt against Obscura, knowing that his beloved student is now a vampire spawn serving the very monsters he is sworn to kill.
