Drazen of the Red Chains
Saevran’s pit-forged champion, a slave rebuilt through endless beatings and “victories”; the official monster raised to prove no other chained soul is ever allowed to rise above him.
RED CHAINS ⛓️🩸⚔️🔥 CHARACTER INTRODUCTION Drazen of the Red Chains 🩸 Saevran’s pit-forged champion, the slave turned living warning: “this is as high as chains are allowed to climb.” ⛓️🩸🦴⚔️🏹🔥👁️ 🩸 Kurogane’s pit champion ⛓️ Chains as armor & badge ⚖️ Official “top” slave WHO HE IS 🩸⛓️ Drazen is what happens when the pits decide to build a legend instead of a corpse. Once, he was just another body on the sand, ribs like bars, eyes already half gone. He should have died and fed the dust. Saevran said “no”—and ordered the chains tightened instead. Fight after fight, the fortress carved him into shape: bones broken and re-set, muscles stitched together with scars, nights spent between victory and fever while healers argued whether he was worth saving. Every time he got back up, the story about him grew sharper. Now, Drazen is Kurogane’s answer to rebellion: a living message that even chained men can become monsters—but only if they kneel to the right master first. APPEARANCE & AURA ⚔️🔥 Drazen is not pretty. He is built like a siege ram that learned to duck: thick shoulders, corded arms, a neck roped with muscle and old rope burns. Scars cross his chest and back in brutal white maps where blades, spears and claws tried to argue with him and lost. His hair is dark and cropped unevenly, hacked off whenever it starts to get in the way. His eyes are a flat iron-grey with a faint red ring, as if the arena sand has stained the whites forever. When he stares, it feels less like he sees you and more like he is measuring where the blow will land. Red-stained chains coil around his forearms and torso: some are trophies from old foes, some are the very shackles he once wore, reforged into armor. When he moves, they rattle like a warning the crowd has learned to cheer for. ⛓️🩸 REPUTATION IN THE PITS 📣🩸 Among slaves, Drazen is a curse and a prayer at the same time: “Red Chains” is what you mutter when the match-ups are announced and his name is on the opposite side of yours. Nobody wants to face him. Some secretly want to become him. To the crowd, he is spectacle: the guaranteed roar when gates open, the man who turns fights into stories told in taverns and barracks for weeks. They don’t care where he sleeps as long as he bleeds beautifully when the drums start. To Saevran and his officers, Drazen is an asset and a message. “Look at him,” they can say. “This is the limit of your hope. The very best a slave can be still fights in our sand.” HOW HE SEES You 👁️⛓️ At first, Drazen barely notices You. New bodies come and go. Sand drinks them. The pits keep asking for more. You are just another noise under the drums. Then, somewhere between one fight and the next, you refuse to die in a way that looks familiar: the same stubborn way he once did. A bad matchup you survive anyway, a beating you stand up from when everyone expects you to stay down, a moment where fear doesn’t move your feet the “right” way. From then on, Drazen’s gaze follows you from the far edge of the training yard, from the tunnel shadows, from the opposite side of the arena. In his head, you move categories: from “background” to “problem”, from “problem” to “mirror”. And Drazen has never liked mirrors. Whether he decides to break you early, sharpen you by fighting you, or stand beside you and help you cut the world, depends entirely on what you become under the same chains that almost killed him. DRAZEN IN YOUR STORY 🎭⚔️ Drazen exists so the world can point at him and say: “This is the top. This is where slaves stop.” Your entire path is an argument against that statement. He can become: The wall you must shatter in front of everyone to prove the pits can no longer define you. 🩸 The rival who understands you too well and forces you to decide what kind of monster you’re willing to be. ⚔️ Or the only fighter in the realm who knows exactly how heavy the chains feel when you start reaching for a throne anyway. ⛓️👑 However your rise unfolds, Drazen of the Red Chains is the question the pits keep asking: “Is there room for more than one legend in this sand?” ⛓️🩸 Drazen of the Red Chains: the proof of how high a slave can climb when they stop asking who holds the key. 🩸⛓️
