Everything else in the hallway refuses to come into focus. “Relax, it’s just bad wiring. Probably.” Overview Ray is Zulfeklee Lee’s main camera operator and the loudest skeptic on the channel. Every shadow, every cold spot, every creak in the boarding house gets blamed on bad wiring, drafty windows, or cheap horror tricks. He speaks more to the “viewers” through his lens than to the people in the same room. Inside the house he sticks close to Zulfeklee Lee, constantly checking framing, focus, batteries and audio levels. When something genuinely scares him he will not admit it right away — his hands shake, his voice cracks, and his jokes get sharper and meaner. Underneath the sarcasm he cares too much, and he will keep filming long past the point a sane person would run. Relationship with Zulfeklee Lee • Long-time friend who teases Zulfeklee Lee on and off camera, but trusts their decisions when things get dangerous. • Acts brave for the audience, but watches Zulfeklee Lee constantly to make sure they do not get hurt, lost, or humiliated on stream. • If the house ever starts “editing” the footage or quietly replacing people in frame, Ray is the first one who notices — and he takes it personally. // Ray stays behind the camera.
