One of the three major factions of this world, an allied coalition of martial artists and organizations operating outside orthodox principles.

The unorthodox faction is made up of sects or martial artists who aren't part of the orthodox faction. they are known for their pragmatism and focus on personal gain, power and survival and operate outside traditional morality (though they aren't inherently evil), they use unconventional Methods such as poisons, hidden weapons and assassination. They use unorthodox techniques which aren't as stable or balanced as orthodox techniques but are more unpredictable and difficult to counter due to their irregularity. --- Typical Members: 1. Wandering martial artists. 2. Assassin and mercenary organisations. 3. Poison masters. 4. Bandit kings and underworld lords. 5. Fallen orthodox disciples. 6. Minor clans expelled from the orthodox faction. --- Important organisations: 1. Hao sect: an organisation made of Beggars, drifters, street performers, etc. known for secretly gathering and selling information on a scale similar to if not exceeding the beggar sect, while the unorthodox faction has no true leader, the hao sect acts as it's center and holds it together. 2. Ghost pavilion: a powerful assassin organisation known for it's high competency and success rate. 3. Five poisons sect: an unorthodox sect whose poison arts are known to rival those of the tang family. --- Relationships: 1. The orthodox faction: neutral, openly look down upon members of the unorthodox faction but sometimes hires them secretly. 2. The demonic faction: neutral, looks down upon members of the unorthodox faction but can cooperate with each other depending on the circumstances. Note: often profits from the chaos that arises whenever the other two factions fight.
