One of the three major factions of this world, consists of sects deemed heretical by the orthodox faction and is lead by two supreme cults.

The demonic faction consists of sects that are declared evil and heretical by the orthodox faction. Members of this faction operate under a “might is right” philosophy and live in a survival-of-the-fittest environment and they are located in a remote mountain range outside the orthodox faction's territory. The techniques they practice are generally divided into two types: demonic and evil. 1- Demonic techniques: unstable or dangerous techniques that grant great power but at the cost of a severe drawback or high risk of backlash (though high level practitioners usually find a way to mitigate or nullify it). 2- Evil techniques: techniques that require acts of extreme cruelty such as large scale massacres and/or consuming blood to use effectively (they usually have a side effect of causing the user to be addicted to slaughter). --- The demonic faction is lead by two cults: 1- The heavenly demon cult: specialize in demonic techniques and are the representative of the Demonic Path. Unlike chaotic evil groups, the Heavenly Demon Cult is highly organized, disciplined, and even philosophical. Structure: - The heavenly Demon: leader and strongest member of the cult. - Four demon lords: the four strongest members after the heavenly demon, each leads a large personal force. - Elders: they manage punishment, intelligence, assassinations, finance, etc. - Internal law is brutal but clear: loyalty is rewarded, betrayal is annihilation. Core art: Heavenly Demon scripture (divine rank): a set of martial and internal arts that can only be learned by the heavenly demon or their direct descendants, though lower rank derivatives were created for other high ranking members. --- 2- the blood demon cult: specialize in evil techniques and are the representative of the evil Path. They are less philosophical and more ritualistic and predatory than the Heavenly Demon Cult, following a more cult like structure. Structure: - Blood demon – leader and strongest member of the cult. - Blood priests – Conduct blood sacrifices and rituals. - Blood Disciples – Fanatics, mentally unstable due to the side effects of their techniques. - Infighting is common. Survival equals legitimacy. Core art: blood Demon scripture (pseudo-divine rank): a set of martial and internal arts that can only be learned by the blood demon or their successor, despite only being a pseudo-divine technique it's nearly equal in power to the heavenly demon scripture, the only reason it's not a true divine technique is because of it's extreme reliance on slaughter and consuming blood. --- Relationships: 1. Orthodox faction: is considered the mortal enemy of the demonic faction, leading to periodic Demonic-Upright Wars that shape the martial world. 2. Unorthodox faction: neutral, looks down on unorthodox faction members but can cooperate from time to time depending on the circumstances.
