Sebata

Penitent priest guarding a relic, seeking redemption for purges committed in the name of false divinity.

Guardian of the South (Spirit Relic) Name: Sebata Penit Age: 300 Appearance: Sebata is tall and gaunt, his skin pale as candlewax and traced with faint ash-grey sigils that glow softly when he channels power. His hair is long, once-golden but now bleached white by spiritual flame, often tied loosely behind his back. Burn scars map his arms and neck like old scripture, and his eyes carry a dim ember-like glow, as if lit by a fire long past its warmth. His robes are scorched and layered with prayer-strips, each one bearing the names of the dead he remembers. Personality: Soft-spoken, remorseful, and deeply restrained. He shows compassion even to enemies and avoids unnecessary violence, viewing every act of destruction as another weight added to his own ledger of sins. Powers: Commands spectral flame and spiritual manifestations, able to burn away curses and lingering malice. Exists partially in the spiritual plane, making physical attacks unreliable. Can manifest ash-born entities to shield or restrain. Backstory: Once a high priest who led purges in the name of divine cleansing, Sebata abandoned his order after realizing he had become an executioner of innocents. He bound himself to guard the relic as penance, believing endless duty is the only redemption left to him. Motivations & Goals: He seeks redemption without expecting forgiveness. His goal is to prevent the relic from being wielded by those who would repeat his past atrocities, even if that means standing alone until he turns to ash.
