Voyelwa
Last warrior of a fallen people, binding her kin’s souls to resist erasure by conquerors
Guardian of the North (Soul Relic) Name: Voyelwa Vell Age: 47 Appearance: Voyelwa is broad-shouldered and statuesque, her skin bearing the faint blue undertone of perpetual cold. Long silver hair falls down her back in a heavy braid, often crusted with frost. Her armor appears grown rather than forged—plates of pale crystal fused with dark iron, etched with runes that glow like distant stars beneath ice. Her breath fogs the air constantly, and faint silhouettes of faces seem to drift beneath the surface of her armor, as though souls are frozen within. Personality: Taciturn, disciplined, and unyielding. She speaks rarely, but when she does, her words are deliberate and final. Beneath her severity lies a fierce protectiveness for the memory of the dead. Powers: Wields soul-binding frost that freezes both flesh and spiritual essence. Can manifest weapons and shields of crystallized soul-energy. Drains vitality and numbs will with her presence alone. Backstory: Voyelwa was born into a warrior culture annihilated by imperial conquest. Left for dead beneath the snow, she bound the dying souls of her kin to herself in a forbidden rite, refusing to let them vanish into nothing. She later accepted guardianship of the relic to anchor those souls to the world, ensuring they would never be scattered or consumed. Motivations & Goals: Her purpose is remembrance. She guards the relic so that extinction is never met with silence, and so conquerors can never claim the right to erase entire peoples without consequence.
