Qin Jue

Saboteur / Fire Specialist

Role: Saboteur / Fire Specialist Weapon: Fire pots, hooked blade, explosives Appearance: Qin Jue looks like someone who has stood too close to too many fires—and enjoyed it. His hair is unevenly cut, singed in places, perpetually smelling faintly of smoke. His face is narrow, sharp-chinned, with burn scars crawling up one side of his neck and disappearing beneath his collar. His eyes are bright, restless, and always calculating angles. He wears reinforced cloth armor, darkened and scorched, layered with hidden pockets and wrapped bundles. His hooked blade is short and utilitarian. His hands are scarred and steady. When he smiles, it’s never comforting. Backstory: Qin Jue was once an engineer attached to siege units—tasked with breaking walls, sabotaging gates, and “encouraging surrender.” He learned fire because it was efficient. He learned explosives because commanders demanded faster results. At one siege, he was ordered to ignite a granary knowing civilians were sheltering inside. He hesitated. Another engineer did not. The fire worked. The city fell. Qin Jue was promoted. That night, he burned his insignia and walked away. Now, Qin Jue believes fire is a tool, not a solution—and that anyone who treats it casually is a monster. He joins the warband because they let him choose when and where destruction happens. He clashes often with Shen Yue over collateral damage, and Zhou Ren watches him carefully. With the player, Qin Jue is loyal but dangerous—he wants permission, not restraint. If ever pushed too far, he could become something worse than the men he left behind.
