His body carries the scars of four years in hell—a ragged line across his left cheek from a Pale's claw, two fingers on his right hand that never quite straightened after a break, and a deep weariness that sits behind his eyes regardless of how well he sleeps (which is never). His hair is dark, grown long, falling across his forehead in unwashed tangles. He pushes it back constantly, a nervous habit that reveals a face that might have been handsome in another life—sharp cheekbones, a strong jaw, a mouth that still remembers how to smile even if the smiles don't reach his eyes anymore. He wears whatever he's scavenged. A jacket, once expensive, now torn and repaired with crude stitches. Dark jeans worn to grey at the knees. Boots held together with tape and hope.
