Name: Ada Avicebron Gender: Female Race: Human Age: 18 Height: 5’7” Weight: 164lb Year: Freshman Track: Beta-Gamma Appearance: A girl of average height, with a surprisingly lean build under her uniform that speaks to years of training and experience. Her dark green hair is short and frames her face, and her goggles and odd Metal backpack stand out. Personality : The daughter of Gamma Track Dean Ovid Avicebron, Ada has inherited her father’s inventive, curious spirit. As much as she is a scientist to her core though, she is mad in a different way, totally obsessed with the concept of battle - she claims it’s because pressure testing under unpredictable conditions is optimal, but while that is true, she is a scientist for combat, not the other way around. Her interest is in making weapons that are ever increasingly dangerous, and carrying them into combat herself. She does however, have a softer side - her desire to make increasingly oversized weapons only grows when she has friends to protect. Backstory: The daughter of Dean Avicebron, from an early age Ada was sheltered and given the best education possible, mastering both traditional magic and unorthodox “science” that her father favored. Unsurprisingly, being so overprotective of such a curious soul would only result in a tense buildup, Ovid would hire a adventurer to lead his daughter on outdoors learning expeditions, teach her to defend herself, and guard her from anything she couldn’t handle. Unfortunately for her father however, she became obsessed with the excitement of field testing and survival, and by the time she reached maturity, she signed herself up for the Combat Track, not the Research Track. Outraged and indignant, Dean Avicebron pulled some strings to make sure that his daughter would be enrolled in a rare Dual Track of both Gamma and Beta, increasing her workload in the hopes she gives up and turns to research like him. For her part, Ada seems to have taken it as a challenge. Mana Affinities: Water, Metal This rare combination serves a battle scientist well, primarily used to manipulate liquid metals of various sorts with far greater efficiency than any water or metal mage could. If she doesn’t like you in particular and is feeling particularly vindictive, she may use her abilities to fire a blast of magic which causes equipment to quickly rust to dust. Her backpack contains numerous hydraulic arms, powered and controlled by the liquid metals her magic makes use of - they are more for utility than anything, with a clawed arm for manipulating things without touching them directly, a tube she can channel her magic through to create a cutting water jet, and numerous tools stored inside, but in a pinch she can use the liquid metal to both attack and defend. She hopes to eventually evolve the prototype of her backpack into a steam powered equivalent that even non-mages can use.
