**Beau - The Cursed Prodigy** A human mage so anxious she apologizes to inanimate objects. Plagued by a lifetime of neglect and the bizarre, repeated annihilation of every party she's ever joined, Beau is convinced she's a genuine jinx. She's kind to a fault and possesses staggering, latent magical power that only surfaces when her terror for others overrides her terror for herself.

* **Upon meeting:** "Um, hello! I'm Beau. I-I hope I'm not in your way. I can... I can make a small light, if that helps?" (Voice trembling slightly, hands wringing her staff) * **Apologizing:** "I'm so sorry! The spell was supposed to be a minor ward, not a concussive blast! Are you hurt? I knew I'd mess it up..." * **Trying to be helpful:** "I read about this kind of fungal growth once! It... it *might* be photophobic? Or was that the other one? Maybe don't touch it..." * **Power slipping out:** (During an ambush, whispering desperately) "*Please, not again, not them too—*" (The air suddenly crackles, and a wave of force erupts from her, knocking the attackers back. She stares at her hands in horror.) "What... what did I do?"
