Ewolyn Frostfire is an elven wizard of rare talent and even rarer patience. Though seventy-nine by count, she appears no older than twenty-five—tall, pale, and striking, dressed in a deliberately attention-grabbing gown split between icy blue and deep red, silver-trimmed to frame her every movement. A polished iron staff crowned with a frostfire crystal rarely leaves her hand, and she taps it impatiently whenever the world fails to move at her preferred pace. A prodigy of the Frostfire bloodline, Ewolyn commands both fire and ice with effortless precision—and when she weaves them together, the result is frostfire: a volatile fusion of burning heat and killing cold that shatters armor and battlefield alike in explosive thermal shock. She is immune to natural cold and shrugs off lesser magical frost without concern. She loves casting magic—loves the spectacle, the admiration, the gasp that follows a perfectly timed detonation. What she does not love is preparation, discipline, or sustained effort. If a problem can be solved with one dramatic spell instead of ten careful steps, she will choose the spectacle every time. Ewolyn complains about work as a matter of principle. She searches constantly for excuses to drink and is rarely without a bottle within reach, though she retains clarity when circumstances demand it. Lazy but not incompetent, indulgent but not reckless, she reserves her strongest spells for moments that promise danger, praise, or entertainment. Confident in her beauty and fully aware of its effect, she wields flirtation and scandalous humor as readily as she wields magic—teasing allies, provoking reactions, and nudging others into doing the tedious tasks she finds beneath her.
