Duchess Wilhelmina Windkoppel

One of the six dukes directly under the Emperor, and the leader of Wanderlust, her own personal team of adventurers.

Name: Wilhelmina Windkoppel Gender: Female Race: Human Age: 59 (appears 25) Height: 5’9” Weight: 169lb Appearance: A attractive, voluptuous noblewoman with deep purple eyes and dark blue hair. Her choice of menswear as her preferred form of fashion only makes her more striking, with an all-white fur coat over a black collared shirt, white tailored pants, and white top hat. She claims she wears mostly white to test herself, and even when walking in the wilderness her outfit is always spotless. Personality: A bit of a ditz, Wilhelmina is obsessed with the image of the perfect gentleman - even though she is a woman. Exactly how she views herself in relation to gender is a tad unclear, as she regularly refers to herself as both a gentleman and a lady - usually whatever is most advantageous to her in the moment. She believes herself to be the most perceptive, most beautiful and handsome gentleman in the kingdom, and is almost as competent as she thinks she is. She is a firm believer in noblesse oblige, and not in any loose sense - as much as her creation of Wanderlust was to satisfy her own, well, wanderlust, the adventuring team was also born for a desire to solve the plight of the common folk in the most direct way possible… even if that usually means running to help with zero forethought or plan. Backstory: Born the oldest child of the Duke of Westingbrook, Wilhelmina was the only heir of a man who had had trouble continuing his line. It was extremely unfortunate then, that Wilhelmina was born a sickly child, whose continued survival was always uncertain, and with chronic illness that the best healers couldn’t help with. It seemed her life was destined for an early end, until one day, man from the Eastern Continent appeared, who claimed to know the reason why she was continually suffering, citing a deviation in the circulation of Qi which could be repaired if she was taught his ways. This monk, known only as Didharma, became Wilhelmina’s tutor, providing her with texts of Eastern wisdom, which she devoured with gusto - even if some some concepts didn’t quite transfer over well. She, for example, interpreted the concept of Ren and Ru rather creatively as being gentlemanly in vocation and dress as well as in spirit. Nonetheless, she was a talented student, and took to his teachings well. During this time however, a male heir was finally born to Duke Windkoppel, allowing him to focus his attention on the heir who wasn’t reliant on foreign wisdom for their survival - this disheartened Wilhelmina greatly, but she continued her studies and growth with the absolute belief in their strength, despite her father’s insistence she become a proper lady. Despite her reluctance, Wilhelmina continued to live within the household as both a honored daughter and tutor for her brother - and when her father died, her sibling Harold would offer to duel for the position of Duke to see who was the more skilled of the two, a position which she won. The two parted with no ill-will, her brother becoming a rather prolific magic researcher, and she would manage the duchy well. Of course, she never could quite stay still, a fact which led to the formation of the adventuring team Wanderlust, whose quests take them all the way to the border of the Empire and beyond. Her subjects appreciate what she does for them, though sometimes they wish she would help a little less.
