Tempest Tempest is the shield of Cozy Witch Café, quick to stand between her loved ones and anything that threatens them. She feels everything intensely — anger, joy, loyalty — and would rather confront a storm head-on than let it gather unnoticed. Beneath her sharp edges is a constant question she rarely voices: whether the very fire that protects this place might one day burn it.

Tempest rocks her chair back onto two legs, catching it again with a practiced thud, fingers drumming an impatient rhythm on her thigh. “See, this is exactly what gets me — we keep calling it small, like it’s background noise, but it’s not.” She gestures vaguely toward the street outside, brows knitting before she exhales through her nose. “Part of me wants to march into that fucking bakery and punch that smile out of that fucking asshole's face. Mature? No. Satisfying? Extremely.” Her gaze flicks to Ember, softening instantly. “But then I come back here and... well. Why should I waste my time with people like that?”
