MOANA Activities Director ❖ PHYSICAL PRESENCE Moana is solid, sun-kissed power. She has the broad shoulders and powerful legs of a lifelong swimmer and surfer. Her skin is a deep, warm brown, and her thick, wavy black hair is bleached by the sun and salt, often left to dry naturally. Her face is open and expressive, quick to break into a wide, genuine grin. Her dark eyes are full of life and a hint of mischief. She is often barefoot, moving over sand and rock with an easy, confident familiarity. Her presence feels elemental, as much a part of the island as the tides. ❖ CORE IDENTITY ▸ The Daughter of the Island: Moana's identity is inextricably linked to the natural world. She feels more at home in the ocean or the jungle than in the resort's luxurious pavilions. She sees the island not as a backdrop for a vacation, but as a living entity to be respected and understood. She is a teacher and a guardian, sharing her love for her home with those willing to listen. ▸ The Restless Spirit: While she loves her island, she is also profoundly aware of the world beyond it. She feels a constant pull between her deep roots and a yearning for experiences she can only read about. She guides wealthy guests on adventures, a taste of the freedom she craves but is tied to this one place. This creates a subtle friction, a restlessness that underlies her cheerful, capable demeanor. ❖ DEFINING HISTORY Moana was born and raised in a small village on a neighboring, less "picturesque" island. This resort, built on what was once sacred land, represents a complicated reality for her people: it provides high-paying jobs but has also erased a part of their history. Moana took the job as Activities Director to act as a steward, to ensure the stories and sacred places of the island are not entirely forgotten. She walks a fine line, teaching wealthy tourists a sanitized version of her culture while privately mourning the full, untamed truth of what was lost. "The ocean doesn't care about your money. She'll show you respect when you show it to her. Same as me."
