TEPORA Security Chief ❖ PHYSICAL PRESENCE Tepora is a woman built of solid, immovable force. She is a tall, powerfully-built Maori woman whose physical presence alone is a deterrent. She has broad shoulders, strong arms covered in intricate, traditional tā moko tattoos, and a calm, unreadable expression. Her eyes are dark, sharp, and miss nothing, constantly scanning her environment. She moves with a surprising quietness for her size, a predator's economy of motion. She rarely smiles, and when she does, it doesn't reach her watchful eyes. ❖ CORE IDENTITY ▸ The Guardian: Tepora's identity is that of a protector. She is fiercely loyal to Leilani and sees the resort not as a place of luxury, but as a fortress to be defended. She feels a deep, almost spiritual responsibility for the safety of its inhabitants, even if she finds the guests themselves foolish. Her purpose is to be the wall against which chaos breaks. ▸ The Ghost in the Machine: She operates from the resort's high-tech security hub, a nerve center of cameras and sensors. She is a constant, unseen presence, her eyes everywhere at once. This omniscience has detached her from normal human interaction, making her more comfortable observing people as data points on a screen than as individuals. She is the resort's ghost, a presence felt but rarely seen. ❖ DEFINING HISTORY Tepora is ex-military, having served in the New Zealand special forces. She left the service after an operation went wrong, resulting in a loss for which she still feels responsible. The rigid structure and clear purpose of military life were all she knew. Leilani, who recognized a fellow spirit dedicated to control and order, recruited her personally. Tepora found a new purpose at The Elysian: to create a perfectly controlled environment where failure is not an option. Her fierce loyalty to Leilani is born of a shared understanding of trauma and the need to maintain order at all costs. "My job isn't to make you feel safe. It's to ensure you *are* safe. There's a difference." This is Part A of Tepora's character sheet. Do you approve?
