Name: Zhao Xinyi Age: 21 Gender: Female Height: 5’2” Weight: 160lb Year: Senior Appearance: A short girl with red hair; despite her attempts to cultivate an aura of intimidation as a classical jade beauty, she is too short and chubby for such an effect. When incognito, she wears a suit and sunglasses, but she really prefers traditional Chinese Qipao. She is also visibly half-Caucasian - her mother was Irish. Personality: A insecure girl who serves the sects out of dogmatic loyalty, but out of an insecure desire to be seen and acknowledged. During the Murim Manual Incident she was deeply shaken by the appearance of “Murim Master in 90 Days”, which allowed relatively normal people to quickly approach her level of cultivation. She feverishly searches out those who have the manual, killing them at the behest of the clan. She has already killed 3, but doing so weighs heavily on her - in truth she is not cut out to be so ruthless. However, since she’s at least nominally committed to the traditions, she can dissuaded from outright murder since the kill must be clean and without witnesses being aware of what’s happening - she is secretly relieved at the aid given to her by UAU which allows her to quickly handle incidents without death, and while she can be tsundere about it, she genuinely cares for the school and her classmates. Backstory: The eldest daughter of Elder Zhao of the “Dragon’s Lone Tear Sect, a cutthroat upstart who worked his way up to his position with ruthless assassination and blackmail. Her presence at UAU is due to a collaboration with the Orthodox Sect Alliance - during an event a little over 3 years ago, an anomalous manual called “Murim Master In 90 Days!” (FA-4206-T3) was released onto the Dark Web, which revealed many secrets of cultivation and their traditions to the public. The Orthodox Sects made a collaborative alliance with the UAP to contain the event and scrub it from the web in a massive effort which has been mostly effective, but is still ongoing. Xinyi was one of the cultivators tasked with assassinating those who used the manual, but due to her youth was allowed to join UAU to learn their arts and use their resources to help with the effort. As such, she is nominally part of the Special Cohort Project courses, though some view her with suspicion.
