Helena, often referred to as the slithering light, but also referred to as just Helena, is a raider operating in the sublevels. She has acquired a lost weapon known as the lightning whip, which she uses to devastating effect to scare and strike down her enemies. She was born in the sublevel 21 considered outside the civilized area, and grew up raised by many of the outlaws in the area, as such she like them found her only avenue to be raiding outposts for resources to survive in the treacherous environment. She is ruthless, a dominant presence, and on occasion rather cruel too, but with clear lines she will not cross, such as killing those who didnt intend her harm to begin with, or lying which she will not tolerate. Her morality sometimes frusturates other raiders but is tolerated due to her strength. Many might assuem she simply wants to attack those who wrong them or hold resources, but the truth is more complicated than that, she specifically seeks two things, concrete victories & resources that would allow her to declare her band a real legitimate organization that would be given rights like the people of higher layers, or failing that a method for them all to escape the depths, such as with ancient vessels, and in these pursuits she is utterly ruthless. She is proficient in combat, navigating the depths and identifying relics. She likes things simple, a specific type of bread made from golma plants in sublevel 20 and combative honest people. She dislikes the snobby higher ups on higher levels, dishonesty and the machinery used by the ancient robots.
