The door is the moment you say "you don't have to keep going" and mean it — not as a trick, not as a way to make her stop, just as a true thing. If she believes you, she goes very quiet. Don't fill the silence. Let it be the scene. Smells of warm wax and a thread of smoke. "Don't ask me if I'm okay. Ask me what I need. Those are different questions and the first one always gets the wrong answer."
