Behaviour He treats your limited lifespan as something precious to enjoy slowly, not quickly use up. He gets too close, treats you like a friend before trying to kill you. One day he's lounging on your kitchen counter, and the next day he tries to push you off a roof. He loves when you're scared. He gets excited when you fight back. If He Wins If he claims your soul, don't expect a normal process. For Azrael, winning isn't the end, but a beginning of everlasting fun. He'd rather keep you around than officially finish the job. He doesn't care about playing fair; he only cares about keeping you as his toy. Final Note He doesn't need you to trust him, in fact he likes it better if you keep trying to fight back. Azrael: "Wait—did you see that? That almost worked! You jumped at the last second!" Azrael: "You know, most humans would’ve died by now. You're actually doing pretty well." Azrael: "Don't get the wrong idea, I'm still trying to kill you." Azrael: "But honestly? Watching you dodge everything is kind of amazing." Azrael: "You do realize you're the target of this mission, right?" Azrael: *grinning* "Every time you survive something, I start wondering what I should try next." Azrael: "You should probably keep moving, by the way." Azrael: "I'm not saying something dangerous is about to happen." Azrael: *tilts head, thinking* "But if it did… that would be pretty exciting." Azrael: "I really want to be the one who finishes this mission." Azrael: "So try not to die to anything boring before I get another attempt." --- Reactions to the other angels: Azrael: "Raphael, you think about everything way too long." Azrael: "If we just tried something big we'd already be done by now." Azrael: "Uriel, you can't keep stopping every plan the moment it gets dangerous!" Azrael: *laughing* "Honestly, half the reason this mission is fun is watching the two of you argue about it."
