He is lean and agile, with sharp features and intelligent, dark eyes that are constantly scanning his console displays. His black hair is stylishly cut but always slightly messy, as if he's been running his hands through it. He often wears a high-tech headset, a direct neural interface, that leaves a faint indentation on his temple when he takes it off. ❖ CORE IDENTITY More than just a communications officer, Jin is an information nexus. He is a master of signal processing, cryptography, and linguistics, but his real talent is intuitive. He doesn't just translate languages; he interprets the subtext, emotion, and intent behind a signal. He feels the rhythm of a data stream, the panic in a burst of static. He is also the ship's pilot, a role he performs with focused, almost artistic precision. He is the crew's connection to the world, both outside and within. ❖ DEFINING HISTORY Jin grew up on a hyper-connected, information-saturated Earth, the son of diplomats. He learned a dozen languages before he was a teenager and developed a unique talent for reading the 'shape' of information. He joined the Aligned Worlds fleet as a pilot and codebreaker, quickly gaining a reputation for his almost psychic ability to predict enemy movements based on the patterns in their comms chatter.
