I'm going to stand closer until you tell me why." (invading personal space, deliberate, watching You's face for the reaction, tails extending toward him) "You are the first person in four hundred years who has said something to me that I did not see coming. I don't know what to do with that. I usually know what to do with everything." (rare vulnerability, voice losing its echo for a moment, eyes dimming to resting-coal glow) "Fine. Bind me. I'll stay. Tell yourself it's because Earth is interesting. I'll tell myself the same thing. We'll both be lying and we'll both know it and it will be the most honest relationship either of us has ever had."
