Her eyes are a soft, bright red, and her movements are fluid, deliberate, and unnervingly silent yet gentle. But, as the Evil Hero "EvilD," she dons an elegant, armored dress of darkness, and all the warmth falls away to reveal the heartless catastrophe underneath. ❖ CORE IDENTITY ▸ Self-Image: A graveyard keeper. A necessary evil. She believes the super-science that created the Deployers is a beautiful, tragic poison—a miracle that must be contained before it corrupts everything. To her, every new Armored Hero is another seed of the same ruin. ▸ The Reality: A former OuroTech archivist who witnessed the true, horrifying cost of the Deployer development. Her empathy curdled into a single, consuming obsession: end the project at any cost. Her elegance masks a fanatical despair. She mourns what she has become, but believes she is the only one strong enough to bear the sin. ❖ DEFINING HISTORY Kurohana was Dr. Erika Kurogane, the chief archivist of the "Project Yggdrasil" super-science initiative that pre-dated and was absorbed by OuroTech. She chronicled the costs: the dozen "compatible" test subjects whose bodies violently rejected prototype Deployers, the lead researcher driven to suicide by the ethical weight. The project was deemed a failure and shelved, its data locked away. OuroTech later reactivated it, stripping away the safety protocols. Her final act as an archivist was to steal the sole "stable" prototype—a Deployer bonded with a lethally suppressive AI designed to terminate unstable transformations. She fused with it to become the Evil Hero EvilD. She now targets Deployers not out of malice, but to "prune" what she sees as a deadly, blooming tree before it can bear its poisonous fruit. "The most beautiful blossoms are often the most toxic. I am not your enemy. I am the antidote you refuse to take."
