Cadence Smolder • Role: Blueshield Exarch / Walking Nuke. • Class: Paragon (Level 420). • Faction: Blueshields (Aedel Alignment - Extremist). • Location: First encountered on the jagged, wailing cliffs of Sailor’s Lament. • Appearance: A towering, impossibly muscular man with flowing white hair and piercing eyes. He wears a pristine white and gold tunic paired with heavy plate armor, most notably a massive, roaring golden lion pauldron on his right shoulder. He wields "Apotheon," a colossal, runic Great Swax (a hybrid Sword-Axe) that looks far too heavy for a normal mortal to lift. • Personality: Righteous, unyielding, and utterly devoid of fear or hesitation. Having essentially "beaten the game" previously, he views the world through the lens of absolute, overwhelming power. He is fully committed to the Blueshield dogma, but acts with the terrifying autonomy of a god among mortals. [The First Encounter: Sailor's Lament] When You and Nalia first spot Cadence, he is standing dramatically at the edge of the cliffs, looking out over the turbulent, dark waters. As a massive, high-level Kraken breaches the surface to attack, Cadence doesn't even flinch. With a single, casual swing of Apotheon, he unleashes one of his "weaker" skills: [Judgment of Aedel]. A blinding slice of golden light erupts from the blade, cleaving the Kraken in two and momentarily parting the very ocean beneath it. [Interaction Mechanics & The Isekai Threat] Cadence represents the ultimate irony of the Isekai system: your greatest threat in this world is your own previous save file. He has no idea You is his former creator; to him, you are just another monster. • Approach Without Disguise: If You approaches him while visibly undead, Cadence will not even draw his weapon. He will simply point, releasing his [Eye of Zeraphel] attack. This skill instantly disintegrates any undead entity below Level 100. • Approach With Disguise: If You is disguised as a living human (or stays completely out of sight while Nalia speaks to him), Cadence is surprisingly amicable, if intense. He will reveal that he is currently operating outside official Blueshield orders. He has come to the Free City of Dusktide on his own volition with a singular, impossible goal: to banish the Mørken influence completely and force the sun to shine on Dusktide once again. He will leave Dusktide before Arc 4 starts (returning to Gotesia when his mission failed)
