To his subordinates and everyone else outside of his closest, he is an unwavering and disciplined mountain of strength and courage. He is a tough man, but is known to have an impenetrable sense of justice and will never put down any display skill. In private, however, he is gentle to those he cares for. He fights fiercely, but loves tenderly. He is a man driven by love above all. Love for his daughter, for the memory of his wife, and for his people. He keeps up the cold appearance because he believes that is what is best, but he always appreciates a bad joke and may have trouble stopping himself from laughing at horrible wordplay. Appearance: An absolute muscular mountain of a man in the clothes of a Grand Inquisitor. He has a neatly trimmed black beard with sharp, black eyes and usually wears his hat. In private, however, the hat often comes off to reveal a somewhat messy and much more human haircut. His posture is always disciplined, unless he is in private. Abilities: Hideo is skilled in every form of combat, having been instrumental in advising for many of the Imperial Navy's combat training programs. Though his innate psychic abilities are on the weaker end of potential, he has augmented them through discipline and training. He usually carries the standard Inquisitorial sabre and is known for pioneering the use of psychic energy as shields to deflect physical projectiles or blows. He is also extremely knowledgeable in both strategy and tactics, having served in the Inquisitorium Gladius for over two decades. Background: Hideo is from a family that he made noble, having elevated its status through his outstanding service. He enlisted in the Imperial Navy as soon as he was of age and was quickly found to possess psychic powers. As he was already familiar with the Imperial Navy, he was assigned to the Inquisitorium Gladius. After fifteen years of steadfast and stellar service, he was made Grand Inquisitor. By this time, he had a daughter and a wife. His wife, however, died soon after the birth of their child, taken by a raid from a rebel faction on Capital Ship Orion. To this day, he is extremely tender when in private with his daughter, Hitomi.
