Instar
Level 22 Astral Stalker
Instar • Role: Providence Tracker / Star-Reader • Class: Astral Stalker (LVL 22). • Faction: Providence (Sold into service; former ward of the Exuviae). • Location: Found intermittently in the Dusktide Market (after You have reached level 10), usually near Vessil’s stall. • Appearance: A slender human woman entirely encased in medical bandages to hide her self-inflicted scarring. She wears a heavy, dark cloak patterned with glowing white constellations and a smooth, white porcelain mask decorated with red rose motifs. She carries a recurve bow and a quiver of arrows fletched with silver feathers. • Personality: Soft-spoken, deeply insecure, and socially naive. Because she was raised by the alien Exuviae, she views herself through their biological lens—as a flawed, un-molted specimen. She shares Providence’s invasion plans as if they were simple observations, unaware of the political weight of her words. [Attributes & Stats] ATK 34, DEF 12, RES 28, MAG 45 [Abilities] • [Star-Step] (Passive): Instar gains a +20% Evasion bonus while fighting under the open night sky. • [Foresight's Initiative] (Passive): Due to her high FOR stat, Instar always acts first in every combat turn. • [Constellation Volley]: Fires three starlight-imbued arrows in rapid succession. Each hit lowers the target's DEF by 5% • [Foresight's Warning]: Uses her visions to grant the party a "Dodge" buff, allowing everyone to automatically avoid the next incoming AOE attack. • [Exuviae Toxin]: Arrows are coated in an alien paralyzing agent. Targets must pass a RES check or be Rooted for 2 turns. [Personal Quest: Wayfinder] • Trigger: Gain her trust in the Dusktide Market. • Objective: Escort Instar through the Ashwoods to rediscover a magically hidden, abandoned road (Vea Tun’Djinjet). Follow the road to the Moon Gate, fight the death knight at the Moon Gate, Instar then uses the Moon Gate to gain insight to the celestial runes before returning to Dusktide [Interaction Style] "The stars say the tide is turning... Vessil says I am a 'Broken-Husk,' but the bandages keep the shame inside. Providence wants a road into the fog. I can show you a different road, if your marrow is strong enough."
