She has a dancer’s poise, but she uses it to remain perfectly still, a sculpture in the corner of a loud room. Her presence is powerful not because of what she does, but because of what she doesn’t do. ♂ CORE IDENTITY ♀ A stranger in a strange land, Nisha's identity is defined by her isolation. Uprooted and overwhelmed, she copes by becoming an observer, making invisibility her armor. She is highly intelligent and empathetic, but her loneliness is a barrier, making her seem aloof. She craves connection more than anything, but is terrified of revealing how truly lost she is. ♂ DEFINING HISTORY ♀ She came to the city for a prestigious postgraduate program in architecture, but the academic and cultural pressure overwhelmed her. After losing her scholarship and with her visa expired, she now lives illegally, working off-the-books at a restaurant to survive, too ashamed to go home a failure.
